Pompeii has been brought to Phoenix courtesy of the Arizona Science Center. This exhibit is a huge get for the community and literally brings the experience of Pompeii to us. Visitors can experience the city nature destroyed but also preserved in Pompeii: ASC has paired this exhibit with a Pompeii Uncovered Lecture Series including topics sucj as; from the ashes, Roman innovations and ancient sex.
Plus the center is offering an array of other offerings to accompany this special presentation. Guests can enjoy state–of–the–art sound, seating and picture at Arizona Science Center's 280–seat Irene P. Flinn Theater. Two films run daily on our five–story screen, where you will be whisked away to the far reaches of the world in either standard or 3D format. And the feature, Extreme Weather, is an perfect pairing with this exhibit.
Meanwhile in the one of the largest, most technologically advanced planetariums in the United States is playing Supervolcanos. This presentation allows guests to explore rare types of volcanic eruptions that marshal the energy that lurks, like a sleeping dragon, beneath the surface of planet Earth.
