How do you describe what you do: I’m one of the founders of ONEHOPE where every bottle of wine makes an impact! I oversee our National Account partners, so I get to work with great partners like Top Golf, Benihana, and more.
What is the mission for your businesses’ giving: ONEHOPE’s mission is bringing people together to celebrate and serve the world. Every bottle of ONEHOPE wine supports a charitable cause. For example, every bottle of our Sparkling Brut funds two meals. We have also have gourmet coffee, artisanal kitchen products, and beautiful gifts – each gives back!
How do you give back to society through your business: Each of our products supports a charitable cause. We work with more than 30 partners from a variety of important causes to support the amazing work that they are doing. A few are Team Rubicon, Gateway for Cancer Research, Trees4Trees, and many others.
Charity or Charities of choice: We have so many amazing partner non-profits, I honestly cannot choose one! After the horrible hurricanes and wildfires our country has seen over the last several months, I’ve been incredibly impressed with Team Rubicon’s efforts to assist in disaster relief, all while helping our nation’s Veterans.
Why have you supported these causes: We support many causes that our customers and community request.
Favorite business based on their giving efforts and why: Newman’s Own, because they are one of the original cause brands and have always lead with their purpose.
Who influenced your spirit of giving and how: School and school organizations greatly influenced my spirit of giving. I remember one of my first community projects in grade school, maybe 2nd or 3rd grade, where we made Valentine’s Day cards and hand-delivered them to residents at a local nursing home. It was such a special experience that I will never forget.
How do you believe fashion can aid philanthropy: I believe anything can aid philanthropy. Often, giving becomes very personal, sparked by something specific that affected someone’s life. Fashion, along with many other mediums, is a great way to be charitable and support a cause close to your heart.
What is your biggest philanthropic accomplishment: Surpassing $2M in donations to our partner non-profits last year. Today, we’re just about to break $3M!
